Jumper guide
Your dropzone runs on Manifest Desk. Here is how the Manifest app works there, from joining to seeing what a jump cost. The app is for iPhone; no app is fine too, see No iPhone.
1. Join your dropzone
- Get the Manifest app and open the Manifest tab.
- Under Join a dropzone, type the code from the desk or the poster in the hangar. The dropzone's name shows when the code is right.
- Tap Join. You are in straight away.
A join link from the dropzone (jumpmanifest.com/join/...) fills in the code for you. To join another dropzone later, tap the gear on the Manifest tab.
2. Your papers
The first time you check in, the app asks: Share your papers with your dropzone? That is your licence, membership, insurance and reserve or rigger card, from your Credentials in the app. Never your medical papers or passport.
Sharing lasts until the dropzone's next season starts. Stop any time: the gear on the Manifest tab, then Your papers, then Stop sharing. If you don't share, show your papers at the desk.
3. Sign the waiver
If your dropzone uses a waiver, sign it in the app: the gear on the Manifest tab, then My waivers, then Sign. The app keeps a copy of the exact text you signed. You can also sign at the desk.
4. Check in
Each jump day, tap Check in on the Manifest tab. You need to be checked in to book. Once a season the desk checks your papers and approves you: show your Check-in Pass at the desk (Show my Pass).
5. Top up
Tap Top up, pick a number of jumps or another amount, and pay with Apple Pay, card, or Cash App where the dropzone offers it. The money goes to the dropzone, all of it on your balance. Receipts and refunds come from them. Some dropzones take top-ups at the desk only; the app tells you.
6. Book a load
Tap Book on a load, pick your jump, then Book load. You are charged when the load flies, and you can leave until it is called. If the app says you can't book, the reason is right there; or ask the desk to put you on.
7. Get called
Your phone tells you when your load is called, then at gear up (15 minutes), 10 minutes, 5 minutes and boarding. If a load is cancelled, you are not charged. Turn on Lock Screen card (the gear on the Manifest tab) to see your load and its call time live on your Lock Screen.
8. See the charge
After the load departs, a notification says what was charged and your new balance. Activity on the Manifest tab lists every top-up, jump and refund; tap View all for more.
9. A balance from your dropzone's old system
When your dropzone moves to Manifest, it may bring your balance and jump tickets over. You get an email from the dropzone with Set your password. Set it, get the app and sign in with that email: your balance is there.
Already on Manifest with the same email? Your balance waits, and is added when you join the dropzone in the app.
10. No iPhone
The Manifest app is for iPhone. On Android, or with no phone, ask the desk. They can add you, take your top-ups at the window, check you in and put you on loads.
11. If you delete your account
Deleting your Manifest account (Settings, Delete account) erases your profile, jumps, gear and events. Your dropzone keeps its own records of your jumps and payments there, under the name it knew you by. See the Privacy Policy.
